Nearly ferromagnetic fluctuations in CeRhSi3? – A high resolution study at low temperatures
Abstract: The proposal requests time on OSIRIS to measure the low-energy magnetic fluctuations in CeRhSi3. This compound is a noncentrosymmetric superconductor under pressures of ~10 kbar. We have previously done inelastic measurements above the magnetic ordering temperature and have found ferromagnetic fluctuations. We propose to perform an experiment below Tn and study the low-energy response to search for any crossover to incommensurate fluctuations. We request 5 days of time on OSIRIS for this experiment.
