Magnetic order in the spin-ladder iron oxyselenide BaFe2Se2O
Abstract: In this proposal we request time on WISH to study the crystal structure and long range magnetic order on cooling, and the short range magnetic order above TN in an unusual iron oxyselenide BaFe2Se2O. This spin-ladder material is a Mott insulator that is related to the Fe-based superconductors. As such, understanding the magnetism will give an insight into the nature of the magnetic exchange interactions and underlying physics of these systems.
