Probing the meta-stable nature and time induced ferromagnetic phase growth in Nd5Ge3: Neutron diffraction study
Abstract: In recent years, the investigation of metamagnetic properties of first order magnetic systems has become revolutionary. The rare-earth based compound Nd5Ge3 exhibits a magnetic field-induced irreversibility and two metamagnetic transitions that are in first order transition by character. Mainly, the time induced growth of magnetic phase is puzzling. Towards this, the analysis of neutron diffraction as well as the time of flight measurements may throw light to unravel the underlying phenomenon.
