Cascading magnetization plateaus in monoclinic CoV2O6
Abstract: The aim of this proposal is to understand the origin of the cascade of magnetisation plateaus in monoclinic CoV2O6. While 1/3 plateaus have been reported in the literature, through a collaboration with Cardiff University we have recently been successful in observing multiple plateaus at lower temperatures. We aim to map out the magnetic structure of these using the WISH diffractometer at low temperatures.
