Further investigation of unusual inelastic spectrum of Ba2LuMoO6
Abstract: Ba2LuMoO6 is a rare example of an s = ½ undistorted fcc frustrated system, which displays no magnetic order above T = 2 K, and thus is an excellent experimental realisation of a 3D model magnetic system [1]. By analogy with previously reported measurements on Ba2YMoO6 it was expected that we would observe a broad inelastic feature associated with a singlet-triplet excitation. However, very recent measurements on Merlin indicate a large number of different excitations. To verify those results, we request time to investigate these excitations with the higher resolution available on MAPS.
