Skyrmion phase dynamics in the beta-Mn-type system Co8Zn8Mn4
Abstract: Skyrmions are topological objects which have been shown to exist in the spin textures of a range of magnetic materials. As we have recently demonstrated in our transverse field ?muSR work on these systems, mu?SR is a promising method for exploring the physics of skyrmion lattices (SLs). Here we propose to extend these investigations in two ways: (i) to the study of slow dynamics via the use of longitudinal field ?muSR, and (ii) to investigate a new class of skyrmion system - the beta-Mn-type magnet Co8Zn8Mn4
