Alkali metal/ammonia intercalates of Bismuth Selenide
Abstract: We have recently shown that the topical layered compound bismuth selenide which is of interest in the field of thermoelectrics and topological insulators can be intercalated by lithium and potassium ions which remain solvated by ammonia. We will use neutrons to characterise the structure of the intercalate compound synthesised from A/ND3 and A/NH3 (A = Li, K) solution and will use low temperature measurements to localise the intercalate species.
