Temperature dependence of the diffuse nuclear and magnetic scattering in CsNiCl3. SXD data for modelling
Abstract: We propose to collect data on SXD with a large crystal of CsNiCl3. As shown, this will allow us to study the nuclear diffuse scattering originating for the phonons scattering around the Bragg points. The date will be compared with compare with simulations of the phonon diffuse scattering based on CASTEP calculations.At low temperatures we will also observe diffuse magnetic scattering which will be compared with molecular field modelling.
