Chemical control of structures and magnetic ordering of manganese oxide chalcogenides
Abstract: We will probe the response of the magnetic and crystal structures of layered manganese oxide chalcogenides to the oxidation state and the local coordination environment of Mn. This will enable us to build up a clear picture of the complexity in these phases and will provide experimental data to enable us to rationalise the origin of the competing magnetic ground states in this series of compounds.
