Tuning Emergent Magnetisation Dynamics in Interconnected Nanomagnets
Abstract: Access to OFFSPEC is requested to investigate emergent magnetisation dynamics in ensembles of interconnected ring-shaped nanowires. When these ensembles are subjected to rotating magnetic fields they will host dynamic populations of domain walls, the equilibrium number and spatial distribution of which will develop emergently from simple rules related to the geometry of the ensemble and strength of inter-domain wall interactions. We will use polarized neutron scattering to gain understanding of these emergent dynamics, thus making a critical step towards harnessing them in future unconventional computing platforms.
