Spin-waves in GdPtBi
Abstract: In the proposed experiment we intend to resolve the spin waves in GdPtBi, which is an outstanding representative of a novel class of magnets - topological antiferromagnets. In order to perform the INS experiment we have prepared Gd-160-enriched crystals of GdPtBi compound. Our main aim is to confirm and extend the model of exchange interactions in the compound by direct comparison of the measured low-energy magnon spectra with the linear spin-wave theory calculations.
