Spin excitation anisotropy in FeSe
Abstract: Iron selenide (FeSe), a member of "11" family in iron-based superconductors, does not have static AF order; thus, the structural transition and associated nematic order have been identified as due to orbital ordering instead of magnetism. This work aims at determining if spin excitations in FeSe can have two-fold symmetry below the structural distortion without long-range magnetic order. This experiment will determine if FeSe and iron-based superconductors have a similar type spin fluctuations, then shed light on the question that if they share a similar mechanism of superconductivity.
