Investigating the diffusion of liquids within the MFI zeolite ZSM-5
Abstract: The properties of liquids confined in zeolites will be studied by quasi-elastic neutron scattering. Alongside the data previously acquired using quasi-elastic neutron scattering of the pure liquids, this experiment will provide vital diffusion data on the restricted movements of the sorbates. This study is complementary to ongoing total neutron scattering experiments studying liquids confined in catalysts and catalytic supports, which aims to deepen the understanding of liquid phase heterogeneous catalysis.
