Investigating the Diffusion Properties of Mixed Anion Perovskites
Abstract: Since 2009, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have become a topic of immense interest in the research community, while performances of PSCs are in a position to challenge the current market standards they are still held back by several major flaws. One of these problems is that many PSCs show strong hysteresis when measured. This means that a much higher efficiency is measured when scanning from open circuit to short circuit. It is theorised that movement of ions in the material is responsible for this. Another problem is stability of the materials. It is known that swapping the standard iodide anion for small amounts of bromide can enhance stability with no performance loss, what is less understood is how this affects the underlying materials properties. The objective of this experiment is to investigate how the addition of bromide affects the ion movement intrinsic to perovskite materials.
