Determination of crystal electric fields in SSL Yb2Be2GeO7
Abstract: We propose to measure the crystal electric field levels in the Shastry-Sutherland lattice material Yb2Be2GeO7 on MERLIN. The crystal electric fields are essential for determining the magnetic groundstate, which we currently believe to be a spin liquid.
