Precise Determination of the Cation Distributions of Oxide Ionic Conductors Ba3M1+xTi1-xO8+x (M = Mo and W)

Abstract: We designed and synthesized a series of new oxided ionic conductors Ba3M1+xTi1-xO8+x (M = Mo and W), which adopt a hybridized structure with the features of 9R perovskite (A3B3O9) and palmierite (A3B2O8) structures. The aim of this proposal is to determine the cation distribution precisely as well as to locate intersitial oxygen atom by high-resolution neutron diffraction, which will provide new insight into the correlation between structure and property.
